Horror 5 Minutes

The Hand

Imagine being alone in a lift. The lift suddenly stops and the lights go off. You feel a hand on your shoulder and hear a whisper “Don’t panic!”

Dad

My five year old tugged my sleeve. He wanted to say something so I bent over. “Mommy, I wanted a photo with Daddy so I clicked one. But why is it that I don’t see him in the photo?” he said, when the bell rang. He ran over to the door as I stood there rooted, and heard him say “Daddy’s home!”

Piece of Meat

The meat on the plate was so good. I had never had such delicious meat in my entire life! I asked the waiter “Where did you get this meat from?”. He looked at me and then moved his sight slowly towards my lower body. I followed his eyes only to realize – I didn’t have my right leg anymore!!

The Couple

Travelling alone at night always gave me chills but that night something was different. My car broke down in the middle of nowhere and the only thing that came to my sight was a cottage with lights on. Since it was midnight I decided to get some help from there. I headed over to the cottage and requested the couple to let me stay for a night to which they instantly agreed. I was just about to sleep when I heard some screams. I followed them which led me into a strange dark room. On feeling something under my feet, I turned the lights on only to find the bodies of the same couple lying there. I froze and felt like someone held my hand and dragged me out of the room. Suddenly I woke up and found myself in my very own room, wondering if this all was a dream until I saw finger marks on my hand!!

Sharon

Sharon just graduated high school and was about to get into community college. She was queried for her parental information and family background for the admission process only to find out that she didn’t have the required documents. So Sharon went home to get the documents but found the door locked. Her parents weren’t home. Restless, she decided to go to her best friend’s home and realized that her best friend Lia , had never met her parents in person . So she thought , ‘why not give them a surprise?’; so she took her best friend to meet her parents. She asked their neighbour, Mrs. Norris, if her mom left any spare key only to find out that their neighbours did not even know she was living with her parents and that they thought she was living alone! (Strange). Sharon was deeply worried so she waited for her parents  to come home but it was dinner time and they did not even call her since that morning so she went to the church where she visited daily as a child and talked to the priest about the incidents  of that day only to find out that she was adopted at the age of 2 and soon after that, the couple who adopted her died in a car crash! The priest did not see Sharon after that incident and even the police could not find her. Sharon inquired if there was a picture of the couple who died in the crash and to her shock, it was her parents who she was living with!

Do You Dare?

I had gone for trekking with my friends and we decided to play truth or dare. Unluckily first turn was mine so I chose dare. My task was to go in the jungle, stay there, and come out in 10 minutes. I took a long breath and started walking. There was a deadly silence with some creepy sounds of insects and bats. I continued walking . After sometime, I felt something on my shoulder on which I shouted and immediately closed my eyes. I continued shouting till my friends came running to me and I told them everything. They stood still, not reacting to anything I said. I heard my phone ringing. It was a call from one of my friends standing in front of me. Hesitantly, I took the call and froze when I heard “Are u alright? We’ve been waiting outside for 15 minutes now!”

Roommate

Being an engineering student I usually studied at night but my roommate was just the opposite and used to sleep early. That night I went downstairs to study and switched off the lights of my room. At 3:00 a.m. I completed a topic and went back to take other books. Without turning on the lights, I searched for my stuff and heard some strange noises but didn’t bother. That night I fell asleep in the reading hall itself. The next morning people woke me up and told me that my roommate was murdered the previous night. I rushed to my room and fainted by reading the note written on mirror which said: “I wish you would’ve stayed”

Teddy

I live alone so I used to hug my teddy bear each night, until it hugged me back one night and whispered “Good night!”. I have kept it away ever since, but still find it beside me every morning.

Suspicion

You know that feeling when you feel like someone’s looking at you? I had one. I thought someone was looking at me. So I turned around and found myself looking at me. No, that wasn’t a mirror – that thing had blood on it’s clothes.

The Phone Call

I was asleep when my phone rang. I saw the name flashed as “My Love”. I picked up the call saying hello only to hear a shrill voice saying “Baby don’t open the door!”. I panicked and asked “What’s the matter babe?”. Same voice repeated itself. I saw his reflection standing outside my window. I texted him “Don’t fool me! I can see you and I am coming there”. “ It’s not me. I am locked in a house; whatever that thing is, it isn’t me. Don’t let it in and call the police immediately”, he said. I rushed to the washroom upstairs, locked the door and called 911. I could hear someone banging my main door. Suddenly the banging sound resided and stairs started creaking. Next moment I saw a no-face creature standing in front of me after which everything became blurry. After half an hour police arrived. I became relieved and started thanking them. But no one could see me. They brought a dead body from the washroom and to my surprise it had no face. I saw them checking my CCTV footage in which they saw my boyfriend entering the house and me leaving the house. I became so confused. I rushed to my room to call my boyfriend but couldn’t. I sat on my dressing table confused and that was the time I noticed my reflection was missing from the mirror.
